This Weekend – Wreckless Eric & Amy Rigby, Move D, and TK Disco, Dirty Dave and Spencer!!!

Hi All,  What an exciting weekend we have coming up at the shop…

Wreckless Eric & Amy Rigby, Move D, and TK Disco, Dirty Dave and Spencer!!!

Friday night at THIS Gallery next door to us, they are throwing a party for the release of Need Supply Co.’s new biannual publication called “Human Being Journal”.  In solidarity of this awesome event, we decided to throw a little party of our own!

From 7-10PM on Friday evening we will have Live DJ Sets from TK Disco, Dirty Dave, & the one and only Spencer!!!  There will be refreshments (as always) and the whole block will be exploding with good vibes!

On Saturday evening we are joined by an electronic music hero, Move D!
Move D will be providing us with a very special intimate all vinyl DJ set from 6:30-8PM before he plays an epic 4 hour set at the new LA based party called JACK later that night!

Sunday we have one of my personal favorites performing live in store: Wreckless Eric and Amy Rigby

Wreckless Eric & Amy Rigby have been performing and recording together since 2006, releasing two critically-acclaimed albums and touring the US, UK and Europe. He is the British pop genius of Stiff Records’ fame whose classic “Whole Wide World” is covered in basements and stadiums around the world; she a long-time NYC songwriter and musician best known for her album “Diary Of A Mod Housewife” and Underground Garage favorite “Dancing With Joey Ramone.”

We couldn’t be more excited to have them join us in store for a live performance on Sunday the 21st. 4-6PM

Our good friend Jimi Hey will also be joining us for a special dj set!

This Weekend – Chrome Canyon w/ James Friedman & Ray Stinnett Record Release Parties!!!

Wow!  What a fantastic weekend we have coming up!

This Friday Chrome Canyon joins us for a live set to commemorate the release of his new album on Stones Throw Records entitled: Elemental Themes

The solo project of New York artist Morgan Z, Chrome Canyon creates analog synth-powered epics that move between eras past and ages imagined to create the perfect score for an alternate now.

Joining Chrome Canyon will be our dear friend and head of Throne of Blood Records James Friedman to DJ this killer event!

On Sunday

Light in the Attic Records brings us a phenomenal reissue from Ray Stinnett,  who will be performing live in the shop 4-6PM

A hippie-fied, soul-rock, folk-rock, psych-rock gem lost in the vaults for four decades, A Fire Somewhere by Ray Stinnett (best known as a member of ‘60s outfit Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs) sounds as fresh as the day it was cut, and comes with extensive liner-notes detailing the fascinating life of a little-documented ‘60s rock voyage!
