It is, however, one of Gainsbourg’s finest releases featuring a wide range of styles from moody, funky French pop (”Bonnie And Clyde”), to barroom piano jazz (”Bubble Gum”), to Afro-Caribbean rhythms (”Pauvre Lola” and ”Baudelaire”), to the swinging 60’s pop he was most known for at the time (”Docteur Jeckyllet Monsieur Hyde”). A classic from these two French heroes, originallyreleased in 1968, is reissued here on 180 gram vinyl.”
